No matter how hard I tried, I kept facing the same struggles—landlords rejecting my profile, agencies ignoring my applications, and endless delays just to get a simple apartment visit.

I remember feeling helpless, frustrated, and completely alone in a foreign country. I wasn’t asking for much—just a place to call home, a little stability to start my new life. But every door seemed to close before I even had a chance. On top of that, there was the overwhelming burden of figuring out CAF, social security, and visa validation, with no one to properly guide me through it. I spent weeks, even months, trying to navigate a system that felt like it wasn’t built for people like me.

That’s when it hit me—why should international students have to go through this struggle? Why should we feel like outsiders in a place we’ve come to learn, grow, and build a future? I realized that the process wasn’t difficult because it had to be, but because no one had made it easier yet.

And that’s when I knew—I wanted to be the one to change it.

I founded Housing Matchmakers to be the helping hand I wished I had. I wanted to build something where students didn’t have to wait endlessly for a visit booking, didn’t have to feel the sting of rejection just because they were foreign, and didn’t have to struggle alone with confusing paperwork. I wanted to take away the stress, the uncertainty, and the loneliness that so many of us experience when trying to settle in France.

For me, this isn’t just a business—it’s personal. I’ve lived through this struggle, and I know what it feels like.
